A species of small fish.

Adult of the Hawaiian dascyllus, a demoiselle (Dascyllus albisella). An oval-shaped fish, usually black, growing to 6 inches in length. Lives in large heads of finger coral. Young are called ā, ʻāʻā. See paʻapaʻa, ula paʻapaʻa.
