interjection, No, not, never; to be none, to have none, -un.
- Examples:
- ʻA ʻole loa! Certainly not! Not at all! I should say not! Never! ʻAʻole loa anei ʻoe i hele i Hilo? Have you ever been to Hilo? ʻAʻole paha, probably not, perhaps not (polite).
- ʻA ʻole i maʻamaʻahia, unfamiliar.
