n. A small, bright olive or yellowish-green Hawaiian honey creeper (Loxops [formerly Chlorodrepanis] parva), endemic to Kauaʻi, and related to the ʻamakihi. The young birds which are confused with young ʻamakihi, were reported to have been called alawī. The greater ʻamakihi (L. satittirostris) is presumed extinct.
