Alahao Airport Park

Wahi ｜ Location, Hawaiʻi Place Names (2002),

Beach park, windsurf site, Kahului, Maui. Wide calcareous sand beach on the north side of Kanahā Beach Park. The undeveloped backshore is under the control of the State Department of Transportation, Airports Division. Alahao Road is the major road to the site. Alahao means “railroad tracks,” and the road was a former right-of-way for the railroad. Also known as Kooks Beach.
