koali ʻawa
n., A morning-glory (Ipomoea indica 🌐), a native of Pacific islands, with heart-shaped leaves, flowers opening blue in the morning and changing to pink later in the day. When pounded, the bitter-tasting stems and roots are used externally for bruises and broken bones, but are dangerous to take internally.
