n., Two loosestrifes (Lysimachia daphnoides, L. hillebrandii), small native shrubs with purplish flowers, the branches densely covered with narrow, pointed leaves. L. daphnoides is confined to the high bogs of Kauaʻi. Literally, mountain creeper.
