1. n.v. To drip, leak, trickle; to flow, as tears; a drop; general name for distilled liquor. Fig., disparaging term for a chief whose mother was said to be a commoner (PPN tulu.)
2. nvs. To pass, of time; time. See kulu aumoe. Ua kulu ka pō (Nak. 88), the night has passed.
3. n. Timber used in houses, as sticks, posts; fuel sticks. Cf. kūkulu, to build a house. Kūkulu hoʻomoe mai nā kulu (Kep. 163), to pile the sticks leaning against each other [of an oven].
4. vs. Drowsy (usually followed by hiamoe). Cf. kuluhio.
5. vi. Swift. Kauaʻi. Kulu ke kī a ka lio, swiftly runs the horse.
6. n. Dysentery, gonorrhea.
7. vs. To be late at night. Kulu aumoe is more common.
