Place near St. Francis Hospital, Honolulu, named for John Mason Young, owner of the tract, who came to Hawaiʻi in 1908. He was an architect and a professor of engineering at the College of Hawaiʻi. In 1930 he was president of the Honolulu Chamber of Commerce. (TM.)
