/ pā.pā.lua /Reduplication of pālua; twice as much, very much, doubly, couple.
- Examples:
- ʻAno pāpālua, dual natured.
- ʻIke pāpālua, to have the gift of second sight.
- Kino pāpālua, to have a dual form, as the demigod Kamapuaʻa, who could change from man to hog.
- Miki pāpālua, to eat poi with two fingers.
