Same as uluhi.

False staghorn fern (Dicranopteris spp., Hicriopteris sp. and Sticherus sp.), found in Hawaiʻi between 500 and 5,000 feet in dense thickets. It smothers plants and prevents growth of other vegetation. It advances by means of underground root stocks and raises wiry fronds. It is of little value as part of the natural succession of eroded areas. (NEAL 9.)
